Speed limit reduction in Streaky Bay

4 September 2015

The 80km/h speed limit will be extended past Little Islands Road intersection on the Streaky Bay to Poochera Road, and past the Streaky Bay Transfer Station on Flinders Highway.

The change – which will be implemented by early December – follows strong representation on behalf of the community from the District Council of Streaky Bay and particularly Mayor Sherron MacKenzie.

Mayor MacKenzie said she was delighted with the news.

"The community has been concerned about these particular sections of roads leading into our town for quite a while," Ms MacKenzie said.

"I would like to thank all those involved in making this happen."
