Safety Work on Gorge Road

29 September 2015

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure will be undertaking work from today to secure a rock to maintain the safety of road users on Gorge Road.

The rock is located on a hill located approximately 300 m west of Torrens Hill Road, and the work is expected to take around two weeks to complete.

One lane will be closed during the day, and portable traffic signals will be in place to direct motorists, and maintain safety for all road users.

Temporary speed restrictions will be in place, and 60km/h signs will be extended after work hours as concrete barriers will remain on site.

Motorists are asked to drive with care and observe speed limits when contractors are on site.

DPTI thanks motorists for their patience while these important works are carried out.
